Healthy Yogurt Bowl

I’m a big fan of natural plain yogurt. The main reason I choose natural plain over flavored yogurt is that the latter almost always add sugar, preservatives, coloring and/or stablizer. This doesn’t mean that all natural plain yogurt is free from these ingredients. You can learn how to choose the best healthy natural yogurt in this article. Because… don’t we all deserve the best?

The cool part about natural plain yogurt is you get to add your favorite ingredients since nothing is added to it. Imagine you have a blank canvas and you get to be the artist. You can use various fruits, nuts, seeds, nut butter, healthy oil and natural sweetener to create different combinations of healthy yogurt bowl. The sky is the limit. This healthy yogurt bowl recipe I share below is my usual go-to combinations except for the fruits and nuts, which depends on what I have in the fridge and pantry. It’s perfect as light breakfast and snack.

Healthy Yogurt Bowl

Serves 1

Preparation time: 8 minutes

160g fresh natural yogurt
8-10 pieces of blueberries
8-10 sliced cucumber
1 teaspoon hemp seeds
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon raw honey
2 teaspoons coconut oil
some mixed nuts

1. Scoop yogurt in a bowl. Add blueberries and sliced cucumber.

2. Sprinkles hemp seeds, chia seeds and mixed nuts.

3. Spoon raw honey and coconut oil over the bowl.

4. Give it a mix before eating. Best serves chilled.
