Brittany coarse light grey sea salt is rich in essential trace and macro minerals and is one of France’s Natural Treasures. The Guérande salt marshes are located in Brittany, France.
From harvest to the final packaging, the salt is not subjected to any artificial treatment. The harvested salt is left to dry by the sun and wind on the marshes until the end of the harvesting season, mid-September. It is then transported indoors, in big bags, for a draining period of a minimum of 3 months. The salt is sifted and manually and visually checked to remove impurities. The minerals stay with the crystals as long as the moisture of the salt is retained.
